| President | Cecelia McMorrow | | | Cecelia McMorrow takes on the challenge of leading JFAO provincially after a year as Director of Membership, but as President her primary focus will remain on increasing membership numbers. Cecelia launched Operation Double '07 with the goal of having each individual club double its membership by the end of this year. Cecelia has been a JFAO member since 1999, participating in the Victoria county club before moving on to the club at the University of Guelph while she completed her degree in International Development. Since graduating, she's returned home and spearheaded the revival of the since-folded Victoria club, now known as Kawartha, from 0 to the current 40 members. She's participated in both the exchange to Alberta and the U.K, and is currently working in Lindsay. | | Past President | Joe Dickenson | | Joe finds himself in the position of past-president for his third and final year on the executive, having spent the past year travelling across the province working to improve JFAO. Joe is currently working on his parents' dairy and cash crop farm while running his own beef and custom hay operation. A nine-year member through the Lambton and University of Guelph clubs, Joe has a BSc. from the University of Guelph in Agriculture and is one of the founding fathers of the FarmHouse Fraternity chapter at Guelph. While also working for two seed dealerships, he hopes one day to take over the family farm. | | Executive Director of Fund Development | Barclay Nap | | Barclay is in his final year of membership as he takes on the Fund Development position for a second time. After growing up on a dairy farm in southern Wellington, Barclay graduated from the University of Windsor with a degree in psychology before pursuing a diploma in mechanical engineering at Conestoga College. He's been a member in Halton, Wellington, and now the revived Wentworth club. His current focus is the new alumni golf tournament series which he hopes will one day help provide stable funding for the organization to run its leadership development programs. | | Executive Director of Community & Int ernational Programs | Somer Verhoeven | | Somer joins the executive for the first time as our new director of Community and International Programs (CIP). Another member from Durham East JF, Somer says she's extremely excited to be joining the executive, and is looking forward to overseeing such JFAO programs as the international exchange. She's currently studying nursing at the province's newest university, the University of Ontario - Institute of Technology. Like many of our other members, Somer was a long-time 4-H member and loves the opportunities JF provides to meet new friends while benefiting the community and having fun. | | Executive Director of Memebership | Adam McLeod | | Adam hails from a strawberry, pumpkin & cash crop operation in Essex county, but currently makes his living as the owner of his own company, Supreme Electric. As Executive Director of Membership, Adam will be working hard throughout this year to use his experience in club building to help benefit the members of other JF groups. His local Kent-Essex JF club has met the goal of Operation Double '07 in January, more than doubling in size, and Adam believes it's due to his club's electrifying exposure through involvement in the community. | | Executive Director of Finance | Brad Found | | Brad returns to the executive table in a new role to try the challenge of serving as Executive Director of Finance. He hails from a beef cow/calf/swine operation and is an 11 year member of Durham East JF. Graduating with an MA in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario, James grew up on a small dairy and cash crop farm in Haldimand. He recently switched the focus of his career from radio to television, in which he currently works as a producer in Hamilton. As Executive Director of Marketing, he has a keen interest in exposing the social networking benefits of being involved in the organization to more people. |
