A cheque for $11,484.08 was presented to Rose Cherry's Home for Kids by Angela Ackroyd and Erin MacDuff at the 2001 March Conference.
The Rose Cherry Home For Kids, now known as The Darling Home for Kids, provides very high quality respite and palliative care services for children of Ontario who are medically ill, fragile or technology dependent or those who have progressive illnesses and are permanently ill. In Ontario, the need for a palliative care center for children was more in demand than Etobicoke or Toronto real estate. The Darling Home for Kids was able to be built through the excessive generosity of a group of visionary donors in Ontario and volunteers who understood the need for critically important respite and palliative care services for sick children.
