A cheque for $14,094.11 was presented to the Hearing Ear Dogs of Canada at the 1996 March Conference.

Since 1983, the lives of over 1200 men, women and children from the age of 8 to 84, have been enriched by the services of specially trained Dog Guides from Lions Foundation of Canada.

Lions Foundation of Canada operates Dog Guides Canada. In addition to training Dog Guides for people who are blind or visually impaired, the Foundation also trains Dog Guides to meet the needs of Canadians with hearing and other medical and physical disabilities. All programs are funded through many sources of private donations, and are offered at no charge to clients.
