Since joining Junior Farmers three years ago, Angie has become quite involved both within the province and Lanark County. She has been her club's Provincial Director and JFAO's External Organization Representative to 4-H Ontario. Angie enjoys all of the leadership and cultural opportunities that JF has offered her.
Angie didn't grow up on a farm but was definitely a "country kid". After graduating from the Early Childhood Education program at Loyalist College, Angie secured work at the Almonte Daycare Centre. She continues to work there, currently in the kindergarten program. Angie also represents her workplace on the Lanark Early Learning and Child Care Association planning committee.
In her free time, Angie loves baking, knitting, rubber stamping and photography. Angie has enjoyed hosting delegates and is eagerly anticipating her upcoming exchange to PEI.

My name is Jen Dane. I am from a rural area outside of Gorrie, Ontario. I reside on the family century farm that belonged to my grandparents, where my family raises pork and beef. I live in an old farm house with my Coonhound Madison and my two cats, Spunky and Spaz.
I recently graduated with distinction from the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus, with a diploma in Veterinary Technology. I am currently employed at a local dairy farm and I am also employed as a Large Animal Veterinary Technician in Listowel. My Technician job involves dehorning calves, embryo transfer, assisting the veterinarian, blood testing, and vaccinating herds to name a few. I am also involved in some small animal work between the Listowel office and the Mount Forest office. There I am involved in care of the in clinic patients, x-rays, lab work, getting the animals ready for surgery and monitoring patients in surgery.
I joined Junior Farmers about a year ago, and have become very involved with in my club, participating in many club and provincial events. Provincial events included winter games, autumn profile, and sing swing in 2008. Last year I was Events Director and this year I was elected Assistant Provincial Director. Starting off as a new club in Wellington County I am proud of what our club has accomplished over the past year. My favorite part was learning how to square dance, especially because six of the eight of us had never done it before. It was quiet the challenge but we seemed to catch on fast! I look forward to many more years of being involved in Junior Farmers and the community.
